I apologise it's taken a little longer than I intended, but as leaked here: Overexposed - The Queen's Wayfarers #1 - now published! I have just released the Queen's Wayfarers Book 2, Sharp Focus for pre-order on Amazon.
To be precise, the ebook version only is available for pre-order. Paperback...
Normally when I go out for a stroll with the RX10 MkIV, I set it up in P mode with a central focus rectangle.
Yesterday, while walking at Oakwood Cemetery, the spotter-in-chief points up and says "hawk." (She noticed it because of a shadow traversing the ground; she's uncanny like that.)
I...
I have a Canon 50mm F1.4 and it is very sharp, good focus. Great up close (has been adjusted by van Maanen Zoetermeer, nl).
Now the close focus distance is 1.00 m. Not very practical, I mean, it leaves a lot to wish for.
Could it be possible to 'hack' this lens and take out a bit of internal...
The E-M1 Mk I added focus bracketing with firmware 1.4. After tracking down a video I tried it today.
I used the Pana 20mm f1.7 and used a 22 shot bracket which was about 10 more than I needed. Experiments will continue.
I stacked the shots in Franzis Focus 4 and it did a good job on the...
Hi Folks - A quick question - How do you recenter the focus point on an RX100 V, (or other versions), after having repositioned it for focusing that is not in the middle of the frame? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Here is my review and an image thread we can all add for images taken using the Meike extension tubes.
Macro has always interested me in some ways and turned me off in others.
I liked the ability to get in really close, but normally, you needed to have a dedicated lens to bring along with...
So, I saw these for $25 USD on Amazon and thought, why not.
A 10mm and a 16mm tube and they are stack-able. AF works with both stacked and OIS still functions on lenses that have it. I'll be doing a full review later, but I'm thinking I will be getting my $25 worth out of these.
Got these 3...
I have a Jupiter 8 from 1957. Is not adjusted for Leica but focus at one meter and wide open is very very close. The problem is the lens don't focus properly at infinity. The distance scale is at infinity, but the camera rangefinder is not.
Any advice? Can I easy fix the lens?
Thanks to all!!
By happenstance, a couple of years ago I won a CORFIELD Periflex «Focus Checker» aka «Focus Adapter» for a really good (low) price.
Except the correct nomenclature of the item, the seller was describing the item quite correctly, but nevertheless I was the only bidder, IIRC.
Here some links...
Is it just me, or is it hard to use the focus magnification in the X-U because the magnified portion of the image is simply blown up from the viewfinder, and therefore highly pixelated and without much detail? I think I've been missing focus targets because of this.
And I'm curious, for those...
I was trying to get a good macro shot of the dandelion seeds....the fluffy white bits. I missed. There's a few of their stems that are kind of in focus, but mainly it's a big fluffy soft, out of focus treat.
A successful dandelion macro is being saved in reserve in case I don't get one I...
