One of my local parks, Lakeshore Park, rises up from the Tennessee river. When the conditions are right, it is a great place to roam around in the fog rising off the water. One of the greatest aspects of the park are the number of large tree specimens. The trees are so nice that they even hosted...

I'm not entirely certain WHY I called it "Fortress America". To me, the Texas fog, the lower visibility, the Hammock, and the fence seemed a jumble of threat and an effort at carving out some sort of safety and comfort.

Foggy Lines. 160s f/5.6 ISO200 shot at 150mm. Just got back from breakfast and with this minor heatwave, the ground being so cold we got a nice fog. I wanted to go back out and get a different shot but by the time I would have been ready the color and everything wouldn't have been there, so...

It kinda felt like a transition day. Things are changing, hopefully in a positive direction. Finally on the move again and I am taking control.

Lovely winter's day. Fog lifted at about 3 in the afternoon and started coming back in at about 4.30. Nice.
