Since there is no showcase for this lens yet, I thought I could as well start one.
Sun shines inside the tunnel below our local railway line, casting a nice, natural frame.

I can't believe there's no thread about this lens yet, so I'm starting it!
I just got back from a week-long trip to visit my grandkids in Washington State, and I took them again to NW Trek, a large wildlife park that we drove through this time. It was a bit frustrating, because I hadn't...
Going to take a little break from Leica for a minute - even though I think that I could shoot that wonderful machine forever!
So, Fuji X-Pro2 with primes! 16mm f/2.8, 35mm f/1.4, 56/1.2 and 90/2
If weather permits, will get some images posted as soon as tomorrow.
Since updating my wife's iPad to v 16.3.1, we have been unable to transfer photos from her X-E2, using the Fujifilm app, although it worked perfectly with version 14 something! Can anybody offer any help please?
A short while ago I had a playful morning, dropping the sigma 56mm attached to my x-e4in my bag and nothing else, decided to ignore architecture and to devote to the strong characters of vibrant, deep, real urban life.
Or else.
But first a man has to eat.
And what are we without a glass of...
I’m not a nature guy, but others are - and here I am walking uphill in the middle of it, although a manicured version of it: the Burcina natural reserve, courtesy of the Piacenza cashmere overlords..
I decided to add courage to courage and got out with the cute TTartisan 23mm f/1,4 to see if I...
Just musing at the moment but this recent decision by Craig Roberts to switch from Olympus to Fujifilm has got me thinking (or wasting time). Not sure which as yet.
Anyway ignoring the body, for now, I am interested in thoughts on the Fujinon XF series primes versus the non-pro Olympus...
The 75.
I like the length and the aperture speed. Fit and finish clearly exceed the $549 msrp. Imagery too. AF needs more testing but so far it's smooth, fairly quick and accurate but does a little wiggle at the end. I think a firmware update could fix it and should come fairly quick. Viltrox is...
Cosina has announced two new lenses designed for Fujifilms X-Mount under their Voigtländer brand in order to extent the already existing trio.
First there is another 50'ish equiv. lens with the Nokton 35mm f0.9 lens. It is quite a bit bulkier and heavier than the 35mm f1.2 weighting 492gr...
You know, it seems I am at it again - as I write this, the forum suggests me three threads from 2011-2013 from yours truly.
After a much needed sleep I woke up surrounded by the Feline Elements, noticed it was too late for a stroll in Florence and decided to play nearer to the west.
You know...
I need to purchase some new batteries for this camera. It doesn't seem they are available anymore. Which third party batteries would you recommend? Must you buy a new charger or will the Fuji charger work? Thanks for any help. ricks
Today starts the first day with this loadout.
Weather is not very cooperative today, so I may not get out and get any shots, but I have the kit already in the bag and ready to go at a moments notice.
Will use this thread to post my shots through out the week.
Still trying to decide if I want...
I'm afraid that "The Thinking Artisan" (as the box refers to the company) is less than impressed with this lens.... with the caveat that it was £159 rather than the £400 for the Fuji lens.
The sharpness, clarity, contrast and general rendering of the lens is really good... but the vignetting is...
As some are probably aware, I recently picked up an X-T1 , largely to try out the X-T series and see if I enjoyed it. Partly because money is tight, and partly because the idea of going full retro appealed with a "retro" body, my first (and currently only) X mount lens is the TTArtisan 35mm...
Here are some words that come to mind, when I think of a superzoom, in roughly this order: fun, zoomy, miraculous, versatile, compromised, frustrating, disappointing. But I still went and touched the hot wire! Feeling equally bored and inquisitive, I recently bought a used HS30EXR to play around...
I just downloaded the update for the Fuji 18-55 kit lens firmware v3.24 dated 09.29.2022 from the Fuji site.
It downloaded as "XFUP0004.zip" The zip contained two files
XFUP0004.DAT, 385kb
XFUP0046.DAT, 509kb
So far I have only updated Fuji bodies not lenses no not sure what their update files...
I've been looking at getting a few longer primes for my X-S10, starting with a 56. I'm not interested in the the Fujinon 56/1.2 - too expensive, too heavy, too big. I started looking at third party alternatives and was surprised there were so many options. As far as I can see there are 56mm AF...
I picked up a Fujifilm XT 2 last week and it did not have a lens. I bought an adapter and used my Nikon lenses with MF but I found a great deal on a used Viltrox Mark II 85mm f 1.8. Because I am new to Fujifilm, we had a little setback since I had the camera set on MF and finally found the...

Since I recently updated the firmware in my XF18-55 lens, 'though that may not be relevant, immediately after I have taken a shot on my X-T3 there is displayed (in the EVF and rear screen) OK-NEXT, <-RETRY and BACK-EXIT. What have I incorrectly set?
Found it!
I had inadvertently moved the...
Hello. Like others, I have been feeling an intense ¹itch of curiosity to try Fujifilm. After my recent thinking about shooting JPEG instead of RAW, trying to find a way to ease the pain of editing 42 MP on my Intel 9th Gen laptop, I have been thinking of the "fame" of Fujifilm cameras.
Now...

@$1700 it looks like a pretty good deal. It looks like a great choice for someone looking to jump into a crop sensor photography camera system.
New firmware (v1.70) for Fringer NF-FX (adapting Nikon F lenses to Fujfilm X cameras) has just been released.
Many additional lenses supported and the usual "bug fix"

20 images can be stitched with external software.
How much MP will the Hi-res image have?
Which stitching software to be used, how long will it take to do the job?
One of the downsides of having recently downgraded my Fujifilm stable, from the significantly larger (but still quite wonderful) X-Pro3 (with its X-Trans IV sensor) to the physically smaller X-T3 (with its slightly older X-Trans III sensor) - is that I no longer have access to what used to be my...
Currently have an XE1, XPro1, XPro2. I have a variety of lenses including the 100-400 plus 1.4 TC. I do my macro with Canon 70d + 90mm macro. In a couple of months I will be able to upgrade a few things. I am definitely going to get the Fuji 80mm macro. The other choice of a cam upgrade I am...
You know you have a problem when the shiny new gear looks very much like the shiny old one.
Or not: case in point, my old GX9 was afraid of the dark, even with good lenses, and I jumped ship looking for a sensor to follow what I like to shoot.
So this week I went to evening time concerts...
Just wondering if anyone has been able to update a Tamron lens on a Fuji body.
Just tried to update my Tamron 18-300 on my X-T4 today.
X-T4 updated to v 1.5 OK
but Tamron would not update at all. Returned the error message on the Tamron firmware page
Firmware Upgrade Has Been Cancelled, Turn...
Just got an email from Tamron today announcing that its 17-70mm f/2.8 for Fuji X-Mount is now available. I personally don't need this lens but I eagerly await reviews comparing it to Fuji's XF 16-80 f/4, 18-55 f/2.8-4.0 and the 16-55 f/2.8. We generally know how good this lens is because it's...
*** I changed the title to remove JPG - now have some sample images from RAW ***
Only lens that I have that works with it is the Nikon 28-70/3.5-4.5D
Not bad for OOC JPG with a little Lightroom processing (basic adjustments and sharpening).
So far, love the feel of the camera body and the...
Picked one of these up from Amazon for £140. I previously tried the Neewer 35mm f/1.4 but returned that because it wasn't sharp until about f/5.6 and (more importantly) had a clickless aperture ring which I really struggled with. It was about half the price of this 7Artisans though.
The...
I got a first native AF Fujinon lens for my X-E1, today. It's pretty banged up. It seems to be usable, other than a few spots of dust and some scratches. So far, I only used my Fuji with a bunch of vintage manual lenses, and Nikkor AF-D lenses with adapters.
Fujifilm's making a serious attempt to knock it out of the park:

Let the drooling begin ;)
I for one don't mind admitting that I'm impressed by more or less...
Hello. I had the opportunity to use my first, proper, 35mm FF telephoto lens last Tuesday on a photo trip to a swannery. It was the first time I've been there and I decided to rent the Tamron 150-500mm f 5-6.3 Di III VC VXD lens for my Sony a7R II for 3 days. My first reaction to this lens was...
I get an awful gradient cast on some of my photos.
I've had it now a dozen times or so when I shoot in CL or burst low. AF-C. Shutter is set to E-Front + Mechanical + Electronic.
I've noticed it it happens when the shutter is around 1/6000th to 1/8000th of a second.
It's very annoying and I...
