Lately I have been finding a need to change the ISO from 3200 to 200, and the aperture from 5.6 to 6.4 very quickly. I was wondering if there was a way to program the Fuji X100s to do this in a single click? I have not had much luck with the manual. Thanks for any suggestions.
Has anyone had an issue that there is significant visible noise at base ISO, just with one lens? Meaning noise becomes visible when you are using in my case 35-100 f4-5.6 lens, but there is no noise at all with other lenses?
As an amateur photographer raising two teenagers on two teacher salaries, I don't have a huge budget full of extra cash (or a way to write off photography gear), so I am always anxious and indecisive when it comes to making a spendy purchase.
I currently have the following gear:

Hi what systems allow the camera to let the ISO float? When in Manual mode? Oly doesn't, and my old Sony a230 doesn't. Nikon does. I'm wondering what systems have auto ISO in manual mode.
Thanks,
Some time ago I noticed on PhotonsToPhotos.net that GX80 might have its best DR at its "pull ISO" setting of 100. Usually DR suffers greatly if you let the camera overexpose by a stop to achieve this pull setting.
But the graph at PhotonsToPhotos begged to differ. I made sample shots just out...
I was looking at the new DPR studio results for the Nikon Z fc. I actually changed the Olympus to the Z50:

I thought I'd share a not-quite-the-whole-roll this time. It was a rainy day and I was in the heavily shadowed areas around Pike Place Market much of the time, so I shot this HP5 at 1600, fully expecting the grainy results. Of course there are ways to mitigate the grain, but I didn't have them...
OK generally i shoot in decent light at low ISO, occasionally i will boost ISO a bit for a fast shutter speed if needed.
Anyway i was fiddling around in my bedroom last night & it was pretty dark in there, curtains closed just before dusk.
I had my D4 & D810 out & i thought hey lets see how they...
Many models these days are visibly ISO-invariant, meaning that you can take a picture at 1/800 sec ISO 800 or take the same picture at 1/800 sec ISO 100 and push 3 stops at post processing, getting the same noise levels and the same picture.
My question: when are we going to see the first...

Not much happening this morning - miserable day - misty and the morning temperature has increased from zero to 7 C degrees from yesterday.
Done my duty for today - photographically speaking, that is!!!
For reasons I cannot completely explain, I have wanted a Nikon SP rangefinder for a very long time, makes no sense, I will rarely shoot film again, I am not a fan of manual focus cameras anymore, there just something about the SP and its history that has always meant a lot to me. Well today...
I know it's been done before - many times but, it was a long day and I didn't have the energy for anything other than sitting on the balcony and taking shots of the sunset.
As I went to Fedex to drop off the GXR 28 I am returning, I spotted these beautiful Bird of Paradise in full bloom, so I thought for a change of pace, I thought I would show what the X10 can do with very little post processing in color, PS,

Frosty today - minus 3 C here at mid-day and looks like it will stay like that most of the day - amazing that we still have roses in bloom.
now the M8 plus a 28mm cannot really do close ups as the minimum focus distance is up to a meter - and this shot is right on the limit -then a big crop...
got my feet up this evening so I've taken a few shots inside in artificial light which always reveal study areas.
Never quite sure which to go for - square the horizontals or try to keep the verticals as vertical as possible and try to fix converging verticals. -

as instructed I paid a visit to the doctors in the local village - to get my toes checked - Basically - soak them in alcohol, (wrap a bandage around them loosely and keep it damp with alcohol), painkillers, plus some other pills - then an Xray, (Radio in France), tomorrow.

there is a large field at the bottom of our valley - we live up there on the top of the hill - all the local springs and streams flow into a very small river which we call "the mighty Dureze"(the river is on the first tree line) - anyway most of the year this "large field"...
