Dear Cameraderie Members,
I'm the last guy to get in to politics - I avoid it like the plague. But this Ukraine invasion has got under my skin. How can there be a war in Europe in the 21st Century? How is that possible?
Anyway my favourite plug-in photo processing software is Luminar from...
I've seen a free download of Luminar 4 offered as a bonus with a number of purchases at B&H. This is one photo-processing suite that I know nothing about. Any opinions? These days, I tend to use the Photos app on my Mac - or Capture One if I really need to edit heavily or use raw.
Found this interesting video from Dave Kelly showing how to use the B&W tool to reintroduce selective colour(s). Jump straight to Saturation sliders (ie do not convert to B&W first) as this screenshot shows.
Early this AM I received an email inviting me to enter a contest and receive a free copy of Photolemur 3. So I did. It appears to be a fully automated program for improving photographs. I then played with the same photographs using DXO 9 (using one of the HDR presets) and Luminar 3 (using a...
Some time ago, I bought Luminar and am pleased with it.
A couple of days ago, I downloaded the latest version -- Luminar 3.1.1 -- and it definitely boots faster ... noticeably faster, even with my ancient Dell workstation that is running Win10 with only 4 gigs memory.

The better half (aka spotter-in-chief) and I decided to check on the nesting eagles on Peebles Island yesterday evening. Immediately we discovered that the nest was backlit . . . definitely not as good as the other day Superzoom strikes again . . . eagles . . . and some crazy duck (goose?)...
After seeing the reviews I purchased the Luminar today, it's a Luminar 3 license, the 2018 license is no longer in store.
The problem is, Luminar 3 can't open any image on my Windows 10 PC, not JPG, not DNG.
I tried Luminar 2018 in trial mode and it works, but I can't activate 2018 version...
During the Luminar 3 pre-order period you were able to get it for just $49 using our community coupon code. Now you can get Aurora HD 2019 for just $79 during the holidays!
Aurora HDR 2019 is normally $99 but until January 8 it is on sale for $89. Now the fun part... use our "CAMERADERIE"...
So I really like Luminar 3 and with it's new DAM it's a potential viable all in one solution for me.
I just bought Affinity(on sale btw :D).
I want to send an image to Affinity but I can't seem to find a way.
There are options to "open in" Photoshop, apple photos, Elements, LR.
Seems a little...
The Luminar 3 pre-order is still taking place until Dec. 18th. Anybody who orders now gets immediate access to Luminar 2018 and then on the 18th they'll get a license for Luminar 3 in their account automatically.
During the pre-order the $69 normal price is reduced to $59 but if you use our...

So far, I find it is pretty interesting.
With a couple of clicks, I was able to go from here:
The interface is a little like dealing with a mime -- little pictures and...
