I haven't shared much here (I'm a regular at mu-43.com), but thought some of you may enjoy seeing photos from my recent visit to Tasmania - it is a stunning island, taking the best bits of southern Australia and cramming them into one easily-managed road trip.
We took our vehicle on the ferry...
With billions of people on earth we all want to leave behind a foot print. A foot print to be remembered, our "15 minutes of fame".
Also this is a foot print for each and every photographer who participated in this SIJ project. I have seen remarkable photographs and people getting...
Dereliction
Too much prettiness in the SIJ. Time to get a little dirty. This is a derelict property very close to where we live. In its heyday it must have been a gorgeous piece of property.

El corillo de Caguas (The Crew from Caguas)
As I went on my nightly sojourn desperately looking for photo ops in the darkness, I came across this happy bunch. They were thrilled to pose.
A very long exposure and another bit of light painting.
El amor del gÃbaro II (The Peasant's Love II)
This is a photograph of a mural (graffitti?) in Caguas which I had photographed before, but during the daytime. I used a 15 second shutter speed and light painted over the woman with a flashlight while the shutter was open.
