These were taken near Washington, Texas. It is close to Washington on the Brazos where the Texas Declaration of Independence was signed. The blue bonnets are starting to come into bloom but not at peak yet.
I'm not entirely certain WHY I called it "Fortress America". To me, the Texas fog, the lower visibility, the Hammock, and the fence seemed a jumble of threat and an effort at carving out some sort of safety and comfort.
