We have these planted down our long driveway. They are in full sun and I always struggle with exposure. Today I dialled in -1EV and it worked (doh!!).
Processed in PPS 6 to add contrast and enhance the colour (which is not now true to life).

Went back to the bridge over the river dam in Exeter that I had as the picture for day 1. A little colder now and less blue sky so a B&W version seemed appropriate to kick of the second half of this month long journey.
This is a 3 shot HDR converted in SEP2 (High structure) and cropped and sharpened in LR3 with a touch of vignette. Reminds me of moonlight although it's a bright 38C day here. Finally got past my driveway today.
Back patio again - southern end. With our strong sunlight the camera by itself exposes for the highlights leaving the tree underexposed. This is a bracket from -3 to +3 EV. The X100 only manages +/-1 in camera but the EV dial lets you shift the brackets - really needs a tripod which I used...
I'm using the SIJ to get to know the X100 better and today tested the sweep pano effect. The subject matter was fairly demanding with lots if regular patterns and the camera was caught out (see back of chair) with the objects so close to the lens. I think it would work better with landscapes.
