Not the best start for a new year, 2025.

It has taken me quite a few weeks to write an update of how things are holding up for me. Especially because things went pretty bad last week from basically being honest and open. But first, since my last writing, I am still in the middle of my Stabilisation Therapy which is pre-Therapy before...

Hallo! New Member - Bath, England

Hallo! My first post here at Cameraderie… but have been over at mu-43 for a while now. 🙂 Hallo to all the folk I know and recognise from other sites and members here at cameraderie. M43, and mostly shoot using my trusty old Olympus E-M10 II — though the iPhone is awfully handy sometimes...

    2024: The Year In Pictures

I found this on the CNN website. 2024: The Year In Pictures. There are literally hundreds of pictures. This is some excellent photojournalism. I spent well over an hour going through it and it is well worth the time for the photos and the stories. Great stuff.

Ricoh GRIV to arrive Q1 2025. Monochrome to follow later in year.

No details about the specs, but reliable rumour sources saying the GRIV will be released in Q1 next year. And a monochrome model later in 2025. Will be interesting to see what changes/improvements are made.

News Bruce Gilden “I’ll be broke in a year”

I’ve never been shy on my opinion about Bruce Gilden. I think he is a pretentious dickhead. I’m available for debate on the subject if you wish. However, he stated that he feels that he will be broke in a year. Can’t say I’ll be sad...

    Nikon Z50 after one year

So now I have had the Z50 just over a year and thought it could be good to sum up some things I have thought of. My inital first impressions that I wrote (see below), is still valid I think. I have come to not bother too much about the negative aspects, except one. Anyway, here it goes: Pros...

My county has issued yet another air quality alert for today through Friday

This no doubt has to do with the Canada wildfires. Nonetheless, they are stating that you should avoid being outdoors. Negative activities include mowing the lawn, fueling your car, etc. Positive activities include biking to work…

Street Seattle International District - Chinatown Lunar New Year

Today we hopped on the bus and went to the international district in Seattle for some of their ongoing lunar new year festivities. There was a street market as well as a food walk involving many of the restaurants in the neighborhood, and it was quite crowded despite the intermittent rain. It...

Please share what did you get for Xmas this year?

Please share what you received or got for yourself this Xmas, photography or not related? I got for myself a Fujifilm Instax Wide mobile printer and I haven't had this much fun printing in a long time. I just can't stop making them (I already used a pack of 10 since I got it 2 days ago). I'm...

Panasonic A year after the Fire (Talent, Oregon)

A little more than a year ago, a devastating wildfire burned more than a fifth of the small Oregon town where I live. Today much of what had been reduced to ashes is being rebuilt, but near downtown, the skeleton of a grand old building - that was once a museum-like warehouse-shop of Asian...

Micro 4/3 Peebles Island -- last day of the year

A gray, grim day. The water going over the dam was amazing. The eagles nest looked forlorn. This was the only wildlife we found. The water flow almost flattened the rapids. Cheers, Jock

    Share your Year End Stats

I've got a similar thread over on mu43.com so started one here too. Feel free to chip in and share your stats too. Still about 36hrs to run in 2020 but I can't see my numbers changing much. I suspect 2021 will see more of the same but fingers x-ed it is super boring and uneventful :laugh1...
