Leica 111f is now complete

Today, I received my 5cm viewfinder and also my IROOA lens shade for the 5cm Summicron, both are in great condition and the viewfinder is "almost like new" - both were a real bargain and far less than buying from a Leica dealer who holds screw accessories.

I have in turn taken a photo that I have used as my profile picture on this site and when I have more posts I will create an album to share the photos of the 111f equipment.

What a great setup! That's a late collapsible Summicron, I have one close to it- very good performer.

It certainly inspires as a camera kit and is a really pleasant change from the fast paced digital world.

Well, after running a film through it I discovered the shutter was sticking, contacted retailer as still under guarantee and they in turn sent it in for a CLA, now received it back so it has had both the body CLA'd and the lens cleaned and front element polished.

Still need to put another film through it but it certainly seems a lot smoother!!

Should now be good for another 40yrs!
