Film 17-Year-Old Stanley Kubrick’s Photos From The 1940s

I've always loved his eye for framing a composition. It is already evident here is many of these shots.

When I think about the era of these photos, it strikes me that my Dad would have been a few years younger than Kubrick, and yet, it seems like they are from two different worlds. My Dad seems to have never left this era in the photographs. He wore a fedora to work every day....well into the 1980s.

The differences that occur in our world over the course of a generation are immense. I'm glad that photography existed so that we can reflect on it.
