Well, my Sonnar is back from a minor repair (thanks Brian) and fitted with a new B+W multicoated orange filter. I just LOVE this lens. The rural shots taken about 4:30 PM today (time is wrong in EXIF) on my way back from Los Angeles to Bakersfield. The gas pump was today at about noon in Bakersfield, but could have been almost anywhere in America.

Leica M Monochrom, ISO 320.

Last two could have been from the Great Depression, superb! The lens has a unique transition out of it's focal plane, for sure.

Thanks Sam and Carl. The project I'm anxious for is the chance to shoot the granddaughter of a friend in my Rotary club. Bee is 80, has HER mother's bathing suit from 1916, and lovely young granddaughter who will do her hair up in 1916 style and pose in the 1916 bathing suit. The M Monochrom and uncoated Sonnar should come very close to an early 20th century portrait.
