If anyone has a customer base who buy a new $20,000 film camera in this day and age. It’s definitely Leica. And oh man, this is one beautiful camera.
It depends on the owner. Micheal Johnston of The Online Photographer has had the loan of a limited edition M10 - the Reporter model - and the owner of it told him to get out and _use_ it and not worry about dents or scratches as he bought it to use. That one is running around $10k IIRC now.Do any of these limited edition Leica units end up getting used (and gently abused) or are these intended just for on-the-shelf collectors?
Would it come with a $2000 bag with a chihuahua inside the bag?I can write the future sales pitch now - "New in box. Never used." ...
Fashion "accessory" to be casually dropped into one-upping conversations.
Or a German shepherd ... .Oh wait, it's german so maybe it should be a dachshund.
And here’s me looking at one of these at a London dealer for literally 100 times less.
