Fuji 50-230 vs open mic night

Out Of Nowhere
I thought I'd see what would happen if I took our favorite bang for the buck Fuji lens to an open mic night. The lighting at this venue is far from ideal, especially in the fall and winter. In the late spring and summer, it actually gets a lot of golden light through a set of large windows by the stage area. It did surprisingly well given the conditions. Doesn't hurt that I'm shooting with a camera that can shoot well at iso12,800 and the 50-230 has good IS. The biggest issue was that it would hunt a lot for focus, and was slow to lock in. The other issue was that it would lock on the mic a lot regardless of where the AF point was, or even if face detection had lacked on a face.
