Sony 500mm Vivitar with T-Mount adapter

I recently bought this 500mm Vivitar lens Vivitar 500 mm F/8.0 Lens - eBay (item 110723368315 end time Aug-03-11 23:59:47 PDT) and this T-mount adapter T Mount lens to SONY NEX-5 NEX-3 NEX-VG10 Adapter - eBay (item 330581359113 end time Aug-23-11 23:04:46 PDT)

The adapter just showed up and everything hooks up beautifully.

The couple of test shots looked clear, so I am happy.

The lens seems to be taking good shots, although this is not one that I will be wanting to use hand held too often.

Hahaha, When I read the title, I just HAD to open this thread just to see a 500mm mirror lens on the little NEX.
I'm waiting for my M42 adapter to arrive, and have already considered mounting my Tamron 500mm cat lens.

Have fun. The lens worked great as long as you have a really steady hand or tripod.
