Leica 5cm F2.8 Xenon (5-element version), Adapted to M-Mount. One-of-a-kind

Raid- those are great. Now I know why someone went through the trouble of making this old lens into a Leica mount, then "used it to death". The combination of the newer front module and older rear came out great, better than either of the originals. The Bokeh is very smooth on this lens, and it is a "Lost Optical Formula" from everything that i have read. It is a Xenon computation unique the the pre-war Retina II.

Hi Brian. It worked out very well. The lens hood is very protective against excessive glare. I like this lens a lot for portraits. The subjects appear very sharp, and the color rendition is "comfortable" to the eyes. Thanks. You did the magic. Maybe this is a lens design that someone should bring back to life? Coated and uncoated optics working together ... I bet, nobody else has such a lens!
