This lens was announced late December 2022, but I happened on it by accident whilst browsing Amazon. The mk I is a pretty well regarded lens but didn't have a filter thread (you had to buy some proprietary adaptor). The mkII has a 67mm thread and also has a new optical formula. Both lenses are manual and have clickless aperture rings. The mkII says it focuses to 0.15m, which is a little closer than the mkI.
There weren't many reviews yet when I was looking, but the mk I was £200 on Amazon, whilst the mk II was £149, so I took the chance on it.
Initial results were pretty good but there was a noticeable blurring down the RHS, which showed up especially badly with foliage. I did manage to get some decent pictures with it though:
I sent some sample jpegs to 7Artisans with a description of the problem, and they suggested I get a replacement from Amazon. They seemed confident that the second copy would be fine, which suggests that they are confident in their QC process. Regardless, I ordered a second one from Amazon which I have had for a couple of days now. I set up a quick test using a tripod at my front door taking pictures of the construction equipment that some workmen kindly left on our street. This showed the problem in the first lens, and that it was fixed in the second straight away. I scanned round the rest of the frame on the second lens and see no blurring, so I will keep it and return the first.
Here are some pics from the second lens, the first picture has lots of branches and foliage more or less on the same plane, which I have examined to check that it all looks okay (and it does):
