It isn't a flare, it's really there and is a gas cloud with quite a few stars in it. You can see it with the naked eye from places with dark skies. It's called the Orion Nebula. Sabin's photo is impressive and shows the quality of the lens for this type of shot; I don't see any comma in the corners of the image.^ what did you do to get the galaxy-like flare spot?
I know your post is almost a year old, but ooooh, 12-string! I've never gotten the hang of playing one, but in the hands of the right person, they are beautiful. I enjoy playing, but I consider myself as an adequate player, nothing more.From a local guitar pickin' session.
