Fuji A *begbegbeg* to posters of images from Flickr

PLEASE use BBCode and NOT html to display your Flickr images. For those of us now using the themes for smaller displays, html displayed images end up squared, and disproportionate. They are fine in the regular themes, but in those for small displays, look dreadful. BBCode displayed images are just fine.

Is this also OK:

That's how I've been linking my photos, let me know if that doesn't work correctly for you.

That seems to be OK, you havent prefaced it with any http:// instruction (that is, you are not using the Flickr share code). However, Flickr frowns on direct embedding (hotlinking) and prefer that you use their links which will, when clicked, take you back to Flickr. I do too, I like to see the full size of the shot.

Ah. I see the Flickr steps to that now:
1) Click on "Share"
2) Click on "Grab the HTML/BBCode"
3) Select the "BBCode" radio button (Not the HTML radio button)
4) Select the size of the image that you want
- No larger than "large" for this site
- Stay smaller than the height of the screen as scrolling would lose the perspective for your shot
- Stay small if providing an example in another person's thread (except for the "Show: ...." type threads, go larger there)
4) Copy and paste the "htmlese" that results:

Correct, and for those who want to know what it looks like on Flickr:

...all other images are visible in this thread and others...

It may be that Tapatalk on some devices shows more than others, but what is certain is that:

1) Some people on some site styles and/or apps can optimally view images embedded with BBCode but not HTML

2) Flickr users can just as easily use BBCode as HTML

Therefore, we ask that Flickr users choose BBCode. I have added this to our FAQ on image posting as well.
