I recently received a CV 35mm LTM f/1.7 and the advice that it is a good lens. I have been using an old Canon 35mm LTM f/2.0 (Black) with pretty good results. And I have the CV 35mm f/1.4 Nokton II. So why not compare them? I threw in an old '51 Jupiter-12. They are in order Canon, CV f/1.7, CV f/1.4, Jupiter-12 and all were shot Aperture Priority, AWB, Auto ISO in ascending f-stops: wide open, f/2.8, f/5.6 and f/11. The Jupiter-12 is f/2.8 so there are two of those. The camera was an M-9.

What did you think of the CV F1.7?

Personal opinion, looking at these on my phone? The CV 1.7 is the nicest of the bunch. I’d say it’s a keeper!

I'm voting with you, buddy. This lens was a bug put in my ear by a friend and he was right. It is a lens that is worth having. So many lenses, so little time. Advice is welcome and look what it did for me on this. Advice and then some. I have all four lenses but will use the CV LTM f/1.7 the most of the four. It, the Bertele and the Amotal. Looks like a wrap.

The '57 KMZ Jupiter-8 I have is a honey. Here is a night shot of a shrimper in the West Mooring Basin by Bornstein's. Night scene in the Astoria Harbor, West Mooring Basin by Bornstein's Sea Food. M9/'57 KMZ J8
