A tale of two superzooms, Part 2 -- Zoom Wars

I decided to pit the two superzooms -- the HX400V and the FZ300 -- against each other in a zoom war. The protocol was simple: pick two targets and shoot at maximum optical zoom, maximum "intelligent" zoom, and maximum digital zoom . . . and let the chips fall where they may.

Maximum optical zoom:

(I have no idea why the HX400V gave the flower this greenish cast, but I repeated the shot, and it did it again.)
