Many thanks - they're just as, or even more, beautiful! I've always been drawn to the interiors of churches and cathedrals - it was either all my art history classes or the summer I spent wandering through so many in England many years ago, I think.

Thanks for the kind comments.

I'm always in awe of the craftsmanship that has gone into creating these places, particularly when you consider when and how they were built.

Yes, considering how and when they were built, makes me shudder sometimes. How many years and lives were used to build some of these cathedrals? I like the idea of using photos to expand upon the history of a place, while at the same time creating them as expressive form of documenting and distilling a place as seen today through the "eyes' of our cameras.

Beautiful lighting in all, Alf! I'd be thrilled to be walking there. I like the way you've embedded these so that when one clicks on them, there's a slide show in a nice big size. Lovely images. I think I'm hooked on that boy in black and white with the fountains.

So here we are, taking two days off while the country enters the second week in lockdown.

after a long breakfast we get outside to take a walk in the fields, so we can get some light while slowing infection.

Spring is quite near. Hope it’s warmer sooner as it might help.

We should be out of town - first it was Jerusalem, then after canceling that it was a short tour in the north among family and friends; then a little while in the Etruscan heartland - and as you can see we are exploring our literal backyard instead.

and then it’s home, and cooking cooking cooking
And in a day or two, off to work we go

Wide open or closed down, this lens has a fascinating FF style rendition, focus transitions in particular.

Not to mention, is it the supplied lens cap or the rim it attaches to but taking the cap on and off, this lens has to be the number 1.

Thee Best lens I have EVER! Owned any system..its what keeps me in micro four thirds...every time i leave the siren call of this lens pulls me back! Only lens i ever owned that come close to it is the 35mm XF F1.4..I could bore you all with the dozens of fine(to me)images that i have taken over the years with it..It is a magic lens/ fov ..And I dont care about so-called iffy autofocus!
