Sony A7RiV with the 200 600

Who needs a Macro with this combo at hand :) This has been my main set up for the last 4 years now. I've always been an advocate for using a long zoom for Dragonflies and Butterflies, as you don't get so close as to disturb them. This is a Broad Scarlet, taken in Spain last week. Absolutely stunning dragonfly.

Welcome, Kev, to the forum. Beautiful shot! And I agree with you about using a long lens for insects, etc.

I bought the 200-600 in August 2018 when I switched from Canon to Sony. I was shooting an A7R3 then which was also a great combo. I'm still shooting the same lens.

I bought one along with a Tamron 17-28 when I bought my A7 IV. They were my first E-mount lenses. It was on sale at the local shop for some kind of special Sony day for $1635. I have never seen it since for that price, and used prices for LN lenses at the national resellers are still more. Very lucky guy am I!

I too used it with an A7R III along with the A7 IV.
