Hey! I was born in 1951, and I'm not ready to be knocked down yet.An abandoned primary school, specifically my old primary school. Originally built in 1951, it’s being knocked down due to being dated. That exposed bit on the top floor was my old classroom, so some of us thought we’d give it one last look before the demolishers complete their job. (Lots of very early memories in that building; teachers walking around in a daze as the news John Lennon had passed, being allowed to watch the TV showing live coverage of the first ever space shuttle taking off etc etc).

I agree, Lawrence. I'm 4 years before that.Hey! I was born in 1951, and I'm not ready to be knocked down yet.
Yes, we are all eventually released from this moral coil, but I'm not planning on moving on anytime soon. Meanwhile I'll enjoy the textures, tones, and shapes of abandoned things for the beauty they can lend to a photograph. The visuals of decay can be compellingly lovely.I agree, Lawrence. I'm 4 years before that.
Mother Nature has been trying to kill me since I was about 7 months old. Obviously, she hasn't succeeded yet, but it's a competition I can't win ...
