I dislike contractions for one reason above all. They run the risk of alienating those not in the club who don't know the secret handshake and haven't worked out how to use their decoder ring. I detest 'chron for Summicron, and 'rit for Summarit sounds like a verbal tic. Tog is meaningless in and of itself; as a deliberate concatenation of photographer - literally "one who writes with light" it does not amuse, entertain, describe or enlighten.
