Fuji Add a border to an image in Photoshop

Simple and quick trick to add a border to your images. I like to do it to 16:9 ratio shots.

First open and image and go select (from the top menus) Image/Canvas Size:

Then I added 1% Height of White (optional):

Then 18% Height of Black:

Thats all there is to it, here is the final result:

To change the color of the added canvas, pick the square at the bottom of the Canvas Size dialog, then the color picker window will open and let you click what color you want. Also you can use "percent" or "pixels" for determining the thickness of your image. You can also add some text if you wish:

Thanks, Tdp! Very helpful although I must admit that I use a LR plugin if I want to add borders.
