Iron
Hall of Famer
- Location
- New Zealand
- Name
- Tímo
Some interesting points:
Front Wall
- This is supposedly the first replica of such garden based on Ancient Egyptian accounts and recent artifacts.
- The design is typical during the Middle Kingdom period (2040 BCE to 1782 BCE).
- Ancient Egyptians used the temples and gardens, such as this, as a meeting place between heaven, earth and the underworld.
- They identified 100 plants that were present during that time, surprisingly, most of them can be grown in New Zealand.
- 19 to 20 types of cement were used for the structures to have the same integrity as the sandstone used in Ancient Egypt.
- If an Ancient Egyptian visits the area, he/she will be able to read the prayers or use the place. The hieroglyphs are not random.
- The colours are matched to the colours and materials available during that time. The yellow, though, is supposed to be gold.
