Craig, quick question:

Has the GRD IV become extra noisy (vis-a-vis the GRD III)? DO you get the impression every time you turn with the camera in your hand that the lens elements have come loose and are vibrating? I wonder if I have a defective piece.

No, I don't think it's any noisier. I have noticed that after switching it off it takes a little while before you can switch it back on again though - seemingly longer than the 3 but I haven't compared.

I can see this Ricoh thing is not going to get any better! My wish list/must have list grows every day here. Will it be a GRD IV, 50mm A12 module, APS-C zoom or just go all out and get the M Mount module next?

Man it's time to quit looking at this stuff for a while or at least a day, huh?

Don, smooth pun there ;-)

Craig, wow I'm surprised at how slow those shutter speeds are. Do you find ISO1600 to be much cleaner than ISO3200? because which such slow shutter speeds being made possible in that level of darkness, it looks like the GRD4's IS willl be a very helpful feature in keeping the ISO down indeed.

Looks like the GRD4 moves up of my list above the 3 for now.

Here's a random one - had it set to 3200 by mistake
