Fuji Aperture Ring on 18-55mm f2.8-4 Lens?

Does the Fuji X-series 18-55mm f2.8-4 lens have an aperture ring? Do any of the mid-range zooms have one?

All XF lenses have aperture rings. Only the XF27mm doesn't.
In any case, the R in the lens name says it all.

Just let me add that the f-stops are not marked on the barrel. If you set the 1855 to 18mm/f2.8 and zoom up to 55mm the aperture automatically changes to f4 - the widest opening @55mm. If you start at f4 it will stay at f4 though.

Looking at a photo of the lens, I couldn't see an aperture ring. Where is it?

Just forward of the mount. It's not always easy to see because it is a smaller diameter than the main body of the lens.

I don't care much for the fact that the f-stops are not marked on the barrel.
I don't have a Fuji camera yet, but am looking into getting a used X-E1 with the 18-55 at a price good enough that I can resell it if I don't like it.

Yes... or look at the rear LCD screen.

That design has ONE aspect I do like... there's a selection switch on the side of the lens that puts aperture into Auto or Manual. And it remembers where you last left it in manual, so...

1. You zoom out to 18mm.
2. You switch aperture to Manual.
3. You dial up f2.8 (its max at that aperture).

Now, every time you flick the aperture switch into Manual, it will max out the aperture at whatever focal length you happen to be at. It's like a "max out my aperture, please" switch.
