Looks very quiet there. In the 1960's you had to dodge what seemed 7 lanes of traffic to get to it from the other side. Now there is a pedestrian tunnel. I am in Paris this month. And DOH! we have booked to return to UK the day before the end of the Tour de France on the Champs/E.....!

Still true today, probably worse! This was taken very early, before tourists. Mid-morning, trying to get around the rotary around the Arc (with what seemed like 5-7 streets converging and no traffic lights or order, was almost impossible. Only the brave survive!
