(Uhm ... once more, forum compression effectively killed the subtle shadow tones ... that's really a bit frustrating; the image still works, but I really wish I could show you more of what's possible with the Z 50 ...)
This one goes back to 3rd January 2012, the third day of the very first SIJ, and by far the worst weather of those 31 days, surprisingly it only rained on 3 days that month. I was standing in a neighbours garden waiting for the bus to appear. I remember it was Julie driving, she gave me a friendly wave and a smile and probably thought what on earth is he doing out there? It's a rather noisy image but I guess it's about atmosphere as much as anything.
The lens in use was a Voigtlander 12mm Ultra Wide-Heliar which I used throughout the SIJ. I think my SIJ submission might have been in colour.
Another from the archives, though little more than a year old being from early September 2019. I'd originally processed this by what I'd thought to be a "clever" method in RawTherapee only to find noise had spoilt the image. A subtle change to the processing method seems to have overcome that issue so at least another sleepless night has been put to some good use.
