We saw this altar in an old portuguese house in Ponda, Goa, North India. The state of Goa was under the Portuguese colonial rule from 1510 to 1961. These people were catholics and there is still many of catholic churchs everywhere in Goa. After the Indian Army invaded Goa in 1961, the state was annexed to India. Many of portuguese people quitted. In 2011, 25% of the people were Christians, 66% Hindu and 8% muslims.This kind of reminds me a devotional area in a Hindu home.
