Thank you so much for saying this, Walter. I actually totally agree with you. Though I like them both - and though the monochromatic black-and-white treatment seemed to work better for the photo I posted here - I do prefer the colour version. Something about the colours and the angles and the photo itself - it all comes together. To be honest, it's partially due I think to the tonalities of the in-camera jpeg 'film simulation' I used, which Fuji calls 'Classic Negative'; the more I use it, the more I appreciate it.This timeless photo captures the desolation nicely but the colour version with the different perspective struck me even more. I love them both.
