Belle Isle

Here are a few shots taken on Belle Isle, in Detroit - Michigan.
Belle Isle is an island on the Detroit river, between the US and Canada. It became a state park a few years ago -in 2013-, when the State of Michigan got it from the city of Detroit under a 30-year lease. It is home of a Conservatory, an Aquarium, a Zoo (which I have yet to visit), and a Yacht Club. It also has a public beach on the US facing side, and tons of green. During the summer weekends it's incredibly crowded with families having picnics on the island. Being a state park, vehicles accessing the island must buy a pass ($11 per year for Mi residents) which can be bought on the island.
Other attractions of the island are the Livingstone Memorial Lighthouse, the MacArthur Bridge and the James Scott Memorial Fountain.

Does this forum sharpen the uploaded images? For some reason these are over-sharpened on my screen. The originals I have do not look like these.

I have noticed the same thing on several of my images. Beautiful pictures, Belle Isle is a real gem in the city of Detroit.
