Lot’s of people wondering and asking questions about these two new Fujifilm releases so I thought I’d compile a list of reviews, mostly from actual owners. Also, some of these blogs are really good and I encourage you to browse them when you have the free time to do so.

That fashion shoot is insane. Must really stop looking at samples from this lens as I can see my buying something I really can't afford.

That said as someone who is new to the X system (X Pro 1) I have the 18mm and am claiming my free 35mm (fantastic offer in the UK at the moment) and can just see that the 14mm, 18mm, 23mm, 35mm and 56mm would be a dream set of primes...

I can't imagine March is any more unlikely than December.

Dear Santa,
Please bring me a Fuji 56mm f1.2 and an X-T1. Then I won't need to rob that bank down the street.
Thanks,
Luke

p.s. - if it's not asking too much, could I also have it in March instead of waiting until December?

SLRgear 56mm review:
Fujinon XF 56mm f/1.2 R (Tested)
Fujifilm is really knocking it out of the park with their X-mount prime lenses, and the Fujinon 56mm ƒ/1.2R is another triumph. Typically, an impressively bright ƒ/1.2 aperture brings with it some big sacrifices such as sharpness, vignetting and CA, but the Fuji 56mm avoids them all. With stunningly sharp images, even in the corners at ƒ/1.2 with extremely minimal CA, vignetting and distortion, Fuji shooters looking for the premiere portrait lens for the X-mount should look no further.

Just picked up X-t1/56mm combo from Sydney. Don't ask me how as they're back ordered to 2024 in most places.

The camera is, is a word, astonishing. The 56mm is even better. Phenomenal, and this from a bloke who admires the Canon 50L above all other lenses. It may well be relegated to #2 spot. We shall see.

I am one of those backordered people. Paid a week ago, still no word on availability on either the X-T1 or the 56. As Tom Petty once said, "the waiting is the hardest part..."

as of a minute ago...

even though they're out of the 56 atm, they've been pretty good at getting more batches to sell out of, again.

Yeah. I went to amazon a few minutes after you posted that. The main search result said "2 left - Act Quickly". When I clicked on the product-specific page, it had already dropped "1 left - Act Quickly!"

the later series yours may be, the better your chances at getting one without the light leak and possibly one with the click'y 4-way buttons. i dread every time i have to use my 4-way.

Update: Looked at my order in B&H, and the camera says In Stock, Sent To Warehouse. I'm going to take that as a good sign. The 56 still says "On Order," so I guess it's not in yet...? I am tentatively crapping my pants with joy.
