Yesterday (April 18, 2023) Adobe entered the modern noise removal arena. Yesterday’s release includes real AI noise reduction in Lightroom and Lightroom Classic.
I have been a big fan of DxO Photo Lab for the Deep Prime noise reduction. Until now I think it has been the best there is with Topaz a close second. The limited testing I have done with the new LR version changes that. It seems to be significantly better than DxO (which I think is fantastic) and I am not seeing any artifacts like I get with Topaz.
I haven’t had much chance to do extensive testing but my first impression is WOW! If this is as good as it seems this will change my workflow to LR only.
