They are similar and the Glossy's are in the eastern US. I also believe this is either a juvenile or non-breeding bird as they normally have a definite white ring around the face.That looks identical to what we call a Glossy Ibis.
Bees have been bad here this migration season. I put out watered-down jelly in a container to attract them away from the feeders. Most take the bait.We had a long hot summer in southern Oregon and though Fall has officially begun, the heat is continuing - and local bee populations have been searching everywhere for nectar. I was using my new (to me) small-sensored Canon bridge camera, and discovering that lower ISOs give better quality... but hopefully I'll iron out the kinks.
