Feedback Black background?

Amin, is it possible to soften the whites when the black background is selected? Just so the white text and other white parts aren't so jarring over the black background. Thanks very much for this.

Or alternatively, lighten the black just a tiny bit so that it's very very dark grey instead of jet black.

This is very usable now, though in the summary thread view I find it a bit hard to pick the emboldened "unread" thread from the normal "read" threads. RFF uses a similar dark scheme and I find that a little easier.

Also (though this may be a browser-specific thing) when I open any of the drop-down option menus (e.g. "Forum Actions" or "Quick Links") only a box appears, and no menu items actually appear until I mouse-over them ... this may make more sense if I do a couple of screenshots:
