Fuji buzzing-noises

Hello there,
I just joined this forum group . I do it because I don't have had a satisfying answer for the question i carry for a while .
I recently bought me a 50-140 Fujinon zoom and had the 10-24 some time.
When I planned to test the 50-140 and connected it to the camera I was surprised to hear a constant soft buzzing noise even when I switched the OIS off .
The only way to get get rid of the noise was to turn the camera off or to turn on the "preview"!
I can not imagine that this will be the way to go.
With the constant buzz I assume the lens and its focus system is constantly " consuming" power and with those poor battery ....?
I asked several people and made a topic on other fora but none gave me a satisfying answer .
I know for example that Canon's zoom with OIS don't make such noise thus none drive is constantly " on power ".
My 10-24 is making that same noise but " quieter ".
Do you find this normal and have you the same thing with your OIS zoom lenses going on ?
I to be honest don't trust it but nobody can help me out it seems.

Yes, perfectly normal. You have to worry when the noises stop in shooting mode, because than means your lens (or camera) is broken.
