Leica Canon FD 50mm f1.4, M 240

All-Pro
Like Brian's FL 50mm f1.4, I also find the FD 50mm f1.4 to be just a gem of a lens. I've always shot it on m43 and APS-C (Fuji X mount), and loved the field of view and qualities it captures.

I was a bit worried that it might lose something when mounted to a full-frame camera. But that's what this lens was designed for, so it deserved a shot. Here it is on the M240.

For me, these two really gel together. It's lost nothing in the translation.

The Canon 50/1.4 is a great lens- and looks great on the M's.

The great advantage of the M Type 240 is using with a wide variety of lenses, not sure how many owners take advantage of that feature.

Magnify with focus peaking works quite well on the M 240. I have a Zeiss 25mm M mount coming soon, I'll be able to compare focusing electronically versus with the rangefinder.

Hey Matt, look forward to seeing your pics with the old Canon glass.

Haven't had a chance to head out again, but hopefully tomorrow. :)

Love the first and last Carl, the delicacy and that background blur in the first are superb. I'm really pleased with my Zeiss 25 Biogon on the M. It's so small and light compared with my other lenses :)
