Cutting the fret slots in an Ebony fretboard. This kind of operation requires the utmost in concentration, not only to keep from making an unfixable mistake, but to protect flesh from the very thin but very sharp blade spinning in the table.

Was it worth the trouble? Probably not.
Feuerhand still makes this particular type (276) of lantern today.
Would've been cheaper in labor,paint and parts than buying a new one.
When I stepped out of the car at one of my errand stops this morning, this little Warbler was singing its heart out in a tree close to the car. It also looks like the tree is covered in bagworm cocoons.
