CF card adapter question

Hi
This may sound like an odd question, but I have recently purchased an old Sony A100 which takes a CF card, which I am expecting any day now.
If I bought a CF card / micro sd card adapter, (as my tablet only has a micro sd card slot) would this impair the image quality at all, or is it just a bad idea?

Thankyou
Boz

It shouldn't compromise the quality in any way Boz, but you will really have to try it to be sure! Welcome to the forum.

Depending on the tablet, you may have the option of a USB adapter. If it has USB-C, you can get an adapter with a regular USB port.

I only mention as I have had hot/miss luck with getting adapted memory cards to work in cameras.

Even with the older CF cameras, plenty of older CF cards out there. I even have a local store that sells them(used). SanDisk/kingston branded ones to boot.

Hopefully your plan works out for you.

OK thanks, I'll look into that, as although I have a Canon DSLR outfit, I'm keen to use the old Sony A100, but as my tablet or laptop doesn't have a CF slot I'm looking at alternative ways to download my images.
Thanks for the advice
Boz
