Hi there,

Once I saw this new forum, I started wondering: "why don't I shoot film anymore?". Went looking for my cameras and I remembered: "Oh yes, my F70 has a very nasty sticky back...".

I've noticed this starting to form about 10 years ago and recall browsing the web some years ago looking for a solution, but besides some countries where Nikon was replacing that, the other options didn't look good for me (e.g. baby powder or duck tape).

So, tried a few ideas and finally was able to clean all that by scrubbing sensor cleaning liquid (the cheapest one I've found, Hama brand) with a glasses cleaning tissue. Took me 3 to 5 minutes, but it's all gone.

I share the tip here for someone eventually on the same situation. Please share other cleaning tips you might have.

I had a sticky FM10 that I cleaned with isopropyl alcohol (91%) and paper towels. My son the chemical engineering student told me that isopropyl alcohol is a good pure solvent.
