I have had a pair of Nikon close-up filters lying around for decades. Since I have Nikon close-up lenses i rarely use them. Today I put them on the Xpro 35mm lens and here is a result. Auto focus still works with this set up, but one has to move back and forth to find the right distance since these filters have a fixed focal length. But it works and is great fun. So you can have close-ups with the Xpro without the 60mm lens, but with great limitations. Let me add one thing: When I used to photograph with slide film it was a commonplace to note that such film did not render purples very well. Obviously the Xpro does not have that problem.

This one was taken using the Nikon close-up filter on the 18mm Fujinon lens on the Xpro 1. Close-up filters will work on wider lenses, but not as well as on normal or longer lenses. That butterfly has seen better days!
