Draille – Montjoies – Mademoiselle Anne - Station du Mont Lozére - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D8-09 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Having left the station we continued our ascent of Mont Lozére, now following an ancient draille (drove road) which is well waymarked with these montjoies.

Mademoiselle Anne is posing beside one, which may have been re-erected to waymark the route of the GR70.

Day 8 of 12 – Le Bleymard to Le Pont de Montvert: Walking the Chemin de Stevenson (GR 70 Robert Louis Stevenson Trail) in the south of France.

Saint-Martin-de-Fugères - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D2-13
by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Mademoiselle Anne was still not to impressed with my photography at the second high point of the day, the commune of Saint-Martin-de-Fugères in the Haute-Loire department in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in southern France. Will still had some more ups and downs to go on the day including the immediate descent into the river valley and Goudet.

Day 2 of 12 - Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille to Le Bouchet-Saint-Nicolas: Walking the Chemin de Stevenson (GR 70 Robert Louis Stevenson Trail) in the south of France.

Alexander - Walking the Plank - Bibbulmun Track - Monadnocks National Park
by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

Having left Mt Cooke proper we where now on the Bibbulmun Track heading to the Mt Cooke campsite and the point where we where to leave the Track. En route we encountered a couple of nameless ephemeral creeks. This one warranted a plank style bridge apparently. Alexandra is captured taking on the challenge of the plank.

We were walking the Bibbulmun Track in this section as part of Ibu Anne’s training to complete the Oxfam Trailwalker 50km. Anne ticked off the Trailwalker in early October 2018, having completed the 50 km walk.
