Mademoiselle Anne and Robert Lois Stevenson - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D4-5
by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

A strong connection with the Robert Louis Stevenson Trail was evident in Langogne. This artwork was in "suburbia" as we walked on our way out of Langogne. Mademoiselle Anne had to pose of course.

La Tartine de Modestine - St Flour de Mercoire - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D4-9
by Andrew Priest, on Flickr

My son's daughter, Opal, will be 8 on her next birthday - but she is already exhibiting the telltale signs that many older musicians share: the ability to focus, both on the music, on the muscle-memory movements of her fingers, and also following the lead musician in this particular ensemble who also happened to be her teacher.

The best part of it: not just hearing her play, but being able to see, and feel...how making music, is making her happy.

I'm really hoping that I'm not the only one who saw that scarecrow and immediately thought "Tusken Raider!". 😲
