GAS Considering a new system. Again - Fuji v OM.

First time in over 20 years that I don't have a digital camera (except my cell phone) and the first time in over years 10 that I haven't had any m4/3 camera gear.

I think I'm having withdrawals. First real snowstorm of the season. 😞
You are missing this one, but get out there with your phone. You can still make some nice shots!

What did I miss? I saw where the Sony is inbound, didn't see a comment where you get rid of the OM?

All gone. I debated about keeping the E-P7 and a few small lenses or a few of the sealed lenses and picking up an E-M5/OM-5. But I decided to just sell it all.

I will never be without a digital camera.
Not my intent. I have the Tamron 24, but the A7CR won't be here until Tuesday.

Wow, had to be a tough decision, you were in M-4/3 for so long.

Back in late 2019 when I was making the decision to go FF mirrorless, one of the major factors in my choice of Sony was the extensive range of lenses they offered in their own line and also the option if I also wanted to choose to purchase lenses from a third-party manufacturer/vendor as well. I love my Sony lenses and I also love my Voigtlander lenses -- Each of them fits in beautifully with various creative needs and I am confident when I pick up one and mount it to one of my Sony FF cameras that I'll have the opportunity to shoot something in the way that I either earlier have in mind or something unexpected which I discover along the way.....

Looking forward to your adventures as you explore the new vistas available with your new A7CR!

Now I just have to set it up.

Don’t forget to set up a custom hold! Very useful, I described it in the Sony part of this forum. I think Nikon has the same or similar feature so you may be familiar with it.

MF is an option on the wide end, I have looked at the Voigtlander 15, not sure yet what I will get for sub 20mm.
To be true, the Tamron 17-28 f/2.8 is hard to beat for sharpness, versatility, weight and price. It's a very good lens perfectly comparable to some of Canon's L-lenses in the class. If you want even wider than 17 mm, and don't mind manual focusing then the NiSi 15mm f/4 "Sunstar" isn't too bad of a lens; relatively sharp from edge to edge for what it is...

Second on the Tamron 17-28.
