Hi everyone, just got back from a week in Istria, northern Croatia. It's a lovely area and I'm happy to share some photos. Some with the RX100, some with the X-E1/27mm combo.
This was taken at Moscenicka Draga on the east coast. One of the quieter seaside towns in that area - most were really busy, even in early June.

We stopped for lunch in Opatija - the major resort on the east coast. A strange mixture of belle-epoque style grand hotels and Tito-era brutalist structures.
But this was a very restful place to while away a pleasant hour.

This is one of the grander sorts of building in Opatija.

We visited Hum, officially the smallest town in the world, apparently. It has town walls and gate, a church, town hall, restaurant (and of course a couple of souvenir shops), a mayor and
a population of somewhere between 14 and 20 depending on which source you believe. This is at the church.

And here is one of the houses.

Idling away some time while the better half prepared herself to go out for dinner - this is the wood store in our rented house.

And a close up of the tiles on the wood store roof.

Rovinj (aka Rovigno). A very dramatic town with Venetian-style campanile, as many Istrian towns have, but in this case it also has a glorious setting.
I had been looking forward to taking loads of photos around the old town but really it was so hot (at least 35 degrees) that I gave up and headed for the cool
of the A/C in the hire car!

Here's the church at the top of the hill.

And a different view of the other side of the old town.

On a walk in the area immediately around our accommodation - we saw straw and hay being dried all over the place, but I particularly liked this little group.
NB I had an experiment with Topaz Detail here - I reduced (blurred) the large details and increased (sharpened) the small details.

Last day and a trip to Pula's Roman amphitheatre before getting the flight home.

I have to get a door shot...this is in the very quiet old part of Pula leading from the Roman forum to the fortress on top of the hill.
