I thinks it's either a leek which has bolted, or an onion. So I'm calling it an allium plant to cover all bases.

The one pun I ever made in Latin involves onions. No disrespect meant, I love the piece, but I can't help thinking of Thomas Tallis' "Spem in alium" as "Hope in the onion."

This is pretty pathetic, but at least I changed a layer's transparency and brushed some effects out and dodged (or was it burned?) for the first time to make a vignette, all the while cursing myself for putting up laundry instead of heading right back out to the garden when the light was nicer on the butterfly weed seeds. Still, tomorrow they could all be blown away!
