DAY EIGHT - Silver September 2013

My Day 8 entry was taken on Sept 8, in the tiny (and I mean postage-stamp-size tiny) northern California town of Etna, which has its own micro-brewery, and where I and a motley collection of cyclists (as in bicyclists) had repaired to quaff a few cold ones after a beautiful (and exhausting, up hill and down) 30-odd mile ride along the local Scott River. We had to sample the 'Sampler' of local brews.....mmmmmm -

After driving home for about one hour in torrential rain and having to pass several possible photographic sites the weather suddenly relented as I was about half way home enabling me to get this shot of the engine house at Wheal Betsy, a lead and silver mine that operated on Dartmoor for much of the 1800's.
